Close to the Veg

Clare Ferguson
Close to the Veg is a small market garden on the Northmoor Trust Estate, near Wittenham Clumps in south Oxfordshire. Fresh fruit and vegetables are all grown using environmentally friendly methods and no chemicals. The aim is to create a thriving ecosystem where frogs, ladybirds and beetles take care of the pests, and the vegetables take care of themselves. The produce is sold mainly through veg box deliveries.

Cultivate

We are a not-for-profit social enterprise that will bring fresh, local, organically-grown food direct from farmers to the city of Oxford and surrounding communities. Our five-acre market garden and other small farms nearby will provide the produce sold in our mobile greengrocery, the Cultivate VegVan, which will set up wherever communities want it.

Cultivate is people-powered! We are a co-operative owned, run and financed by our members. We will be opening a community share offer in the new year.
